The UltraKlean 2500 Filtration Kit features a UltraKlean 2000 Pressure Filter with Integrated 14-Watt UV Clarifier/Sterilizer, an AquaForce 2700 Solids Handling Waterfall Pump, 25 feet of 1.5" Quality Kink Free Pipe, and stainless steel hose clamps. When used together these components provide filtration for ponds up to 2,500 gallons (9,494 liters).
UltraKlean 2000 Biological Filter
The Aquascape UltraKlean 2000 is a biological pressure filter equipped with a 14 watt high-output UV clarifier/sterilizer. Ideal for ponds up to 2,000 gallons in size, this high-capacity system helps you maintain optimal water conditions and crystal clear water. It features innovative BioBalls media to deliver efficient biological and mechanical filtration, and a sponge-free design that significantly reduces the amount of required maintenance.
The easy-to-install UltraKlean 2000 makes a great addition to any pond environment. Thanks to the inclusion of a UV clarifier, this powerful filter virtually eliminates a pond owner's biggest problem - green water! It features a bulb-saver timer that can be customized to extend bulb life, and a handy UV indicator light to show you when the filter is actively clarifying your pond.
The UltraKlean's BioBalls are the secret behind its remarkable efficiency. A superior alternative to filter sponges, they feature a unique shape that's designed to trap debris and a textured surface that makes an ideal colonization site for beneficial bacteria. BioBalls sink which makes them ideal for pressure filter applications, and they won't get stuck together like traditional bio balls.
The UltraKlean 2000 is designed for straightforward installation and maintenance. It includes two sets of multi-hose adapters (1", 1.25", 1.5") to accommodate popular hosing sizes, and integrates easily into new and existing pond systems. Maintenance couldn't be easier with the UltraKlean's cleaning mode. It enables you to backwash the filter in less than 5 minutes without even opening the canister. An integrated swirl diffuser efficiently churns the water to ensure a thorough cleaning of the BioBalls.
AquaForce 2700 Solids Handling Pump
The Aquascape AquaForce 2700 Solids Handling Pump is a fully submersible filter and waterfall pump designed to operate right inside your pond. It delivers the perfect balance of high energy performance, high volume water flow, and ease of installation; making it the pump of choice for discriminating pond owners.
The AquaForce 2700 is designed with a durable pre-filter cage that surrounds the entire pump. The pre-filter cage features large openings which allow solids to be processed by the pump. This means that leaves, algae, and other debris up to 0.25 inches can be passed and filtered without clogging or damaging the pump. The protective cage also makes the pump safe for use in ponds with fish. The pump cage clips can be easily opened for routine maintenance or debris removal.
The AquaForce 2700 comes with a convenient selection of fittings to simplify the installation process. Fittings include: a multi-hose adapter (1.5", 2"), multi-hose adapter (1", 1.25", 1.5"), and a rotational ball output (1.5"). The extremely versatile rotating ball fitting provides you with the ability to adjust the discharge to the perfect position your water feature setup requires. The threaded collar on each of the fittings enables tool-free installation of the AquaForce pump.
The unique location of the plumbing discharge on the side of the AquaForce 2700 puts the hose in the perfect position to run along the bottom of your pond. Simply submerge the pump in your pond, and it's ready to supply water to an external filter such as a pressure filter or waterfall filter. The AquaForce 2700's submersible capabilities also make it a great pump to be used as a winter pond de-icer. Its powerful water flow positioned just below the surface of the pond will keep a hole open in the ice to ensure that critical oxygen levels are maintained during the cold winter months.
The AquaForce 2700 is equipped with an asynchronous motor which makes this pump more powerful and more energy efficient than traditional water feature pumps. The asynchronous motor achieves this level of performance by combining the electrical efficiency of a magnetically-driven pump with the flow rates of a conventional electric motor-driven pump. This hybrid style motor saves you hundreds of dollars in electrical costs annually.
The AquaForce 2700 is built to last, and includes a 3 year limited warranty to prove it. The rotor and internal housing are built from stainless steel to resist corrosion. The ceramic shaft and bearings provide exceptional durability and less rotating resistance compared to standard steel bearings ensuring that the rotor spins smoothly and efficiently. A series of cooling ports behind the impeller help circulate water around the rotating parts to ensure that the motor operates at the optimum temperature.
